(nginx webserver on Pi Zero 2W)

Welcome to my website, all hosted on an nginx web server residing on a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W board. You'll find what I've learned over several years as a radio amateur, and there will be updates over time. My goal is to instill in the new generations a passion for an hobby that, unfortunately, is increasingly overlooked. I hope you enjoy reading, and if you have any questions, you can find my email address at QRZ.com.

Will it be true?

Here's an anachronistic vision of that legendary March 26, 1930, where modern technology meets the age of steam and ether.

Rare image of the Marconi nano-tuner board

The Marconian Nano board is not crafted from silicon, but from a polished slab of ebonite, no larger than a cigarette case. In place of microchips, it houses six tiny, hand-blown vacuum tubes whose tungsten filaments glow with a pulsing orange hue, like the heartbeat of a captive star. The circuits are not printed; instead, they are traced with fine, hand-braided silver wires connecting miniature mica capacitors and resistors wrapped in brown silk.
At the device’s core lies a shard of purest galena crystal, set in a tiny brass mount, capable of catching the whispers of the ether across the ocean. As Marconi, aboard the yacht Elettra, presses the telegraph key, the Nano emits a faint hum and the scent of ozone. The valves brighten intensely as they convert the radio signal into an electrical pulse that, traveling thousands of miles, awakens the relays at Sydney Town Hall, transforming an invisible intuition into a sea of electric light.
